Our Android app AirGuard effectively helps to protect Android users from stalking attacks using Apple AirTags. The app has reached over 130,000 active installations, and several online media sites covered our app (CNET, heise, Spiegel).

In our recent preprint, we show that users of the app have been victims to stalking attacks and how we try to solve the issue by employing an effective tracking detection that has been evaluated in several scenarios. Furthermore, we reverse-engineer Apple's tracking detection in iOS to uncover how iPhones identify malicious devices.
